Martin Schlerka joined BIOGEST in 1998 and has been CEO since 1999. After graduating as an environmental engineer from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), he gained valuable experience in consulting engineering firms. Martin has over 20 years of experience in the management and implementation of renewable energy projects. Having realized more than 200 biogas projects, he has a unique understanding of our clients' needs and expectations - often before they even know what they need. With a clear international perspective, he ensures that our visions are turned into reality and that BIOGEST remains successful as one of the leading biogas solution providers worldwide.

Andreea Liubimirescu joined BIOGEST in 2015 and has since taken on increasing responsibilities, currently serving as CFO. In this capacity, her focus lies in ensuring financial sustainability, through planning and controlling, and supporting informed decision-making across the organization. In parallel, she contributes to the ongoing evolution of internal structures to support company growth.She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE) and brings with her experience in the financial area, gained through roles in international and commercial enterprises. Her background spans areas such as accounting, financial analysis, and business operations, which she leverages to contribute to BIOGEST’s long-term success.

Martin Hornhuber joined BIOGEST in 2005 and has served as Chief Operating Officer since 2015. With a background in Civil Engineering and Water Management from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU), Martin combines strategic vision with a sharp eye for detail. His precise approach and strong commitment have made him a trusted partner in every project. Martin ensures that investments quickly translate into profitability while fostering long-term, successful customer relationships. Especially in the after-sales phase and beyond, he stands by your side with clear communication, helping you make informed decisions and supporting you in achieving your goals.

Andronika Kirov joined BIOGEST in 2012 and has played a key role in shaping the global marketing, communication and sustainability corporate strategy. Holding a BSc from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and an MSc from the University of Vienna in Business Administration, she complements her academic background with advanced ESG training. She built BIOGEST’s Marketing & Communication department from the ground up, positioning it as a core strategic pillar. While establishing new standards for the BIOGEST brand, she successfully launched the BIOP brand. In recent years, she initiated the company’s sustainability transformation, achieving the first CO₂ footprint reduction milestones. Today, as Head of Marketing, Communication & Sustainability, she drives strategic vision and turns it into impactful brand execution worldwide.

David Prat joined BIOGEST in September 2026 as Head of Investment. He is responsible for shaping the company’s investment strategy, supporting project financing, and building strong partnerships with investors and infrastructure stakeholders. With over 20 years of experience in project finance across the energy and infrastructure sectors, he supports BIOGEST’s international growth and the realization of sustainable biomethane projects worldwide. David holds Master’s degrees in Finance from London Business School and the University of Barcelona. He brings extensive global experience from large-scale energy, renewable, and infrastructure projects, complemented by entrepreneurial work in environmental sustainability.
